PETG Carbon Fiber (PETG-CF) eSUN Filament

Description

eSUN ePETG-CF Filament:

Upgrading 3D Printing to Engineering Level (Carbon Fiber Reinforced PETG)

eSUN ePETG-CF is a perfect blend of the printability of PETG and the high strength of carbon fiber. This material is designed to address the shortcomings of typical PETG by increasing rigidity, reducing warping, and providing a premium, aesthetically pleasing finish. It's ideal for impact-resistant components or those used in harsh environments.

Key features and points of interest:

  • High strength and durability: Reinforced with carbon fiber, the flexural modulus reaches 2500 MPa (over 200% increase compared to standard PETG), ensuring excellent dimensional stability under compressive force.

  • Premium Matte Finish: The printed material has a matte finish, which helps to seamlessly conceal layer lines and is not glossy like typical PETG.

  • Chemical and weather resistant: Retains the key properties of PETG in terms of water, chemical, and corrosion resistance, along with aging resistance that extends the lifespan of the product.

  • Easy and stable printing: Designed for low warping and reduced nozzle stickiness, supporting a wide range of printing speeds.

  • Diverse Color Options: Unlike typical carbon fiber which is only available in black, eSUN offers engineered matte finishes such as Dark Grey, Antique Brass, Black Red, Dark Green, and Dark Blue.

Technical specifications

  • Printing temperature (Extruder Temp): 240 – 260℃

  • Bed temperature: 75 – 90℃

  • Printing Speed: 40 – 300 mm/s

  • Density: 1.26 g/cm³

  • Heat distortion temperature (HDT): 70℃

  • Diameter: 1.75mm (Tolerance ±0.03mm)

Applications

  • Factory jigs and fixtures

  • Drone structure or RC device.

  • Electronic and automotive components

  • Engineering prototypes requiring high precision.

Instructions for printing

  1. Nozzle: Due to the high rigidity of the carbon fiber material, a 0.4mm or 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle is required to prevent wear.

  2. Drying: For best results, it is recommended to dry the noodles at 65℃ for at least 8 hours before printing.

  3. Adhesion: For better adhesion to the print bed, it is recommended to use with PVP glue or PEI sheets.

Superior Key Features

feature eSUN ePETG-CF (Key Features) Results for you.
Strength and robustness Enhance strength, rigidity, and wear resistance with carbon fiber. The product is resistant to pressure and impact, and has a longer service life.
Chemical resistance Resistant to water, chemicals, and corrosive environments. Suitable for use in industrial applications, automotive parts, and electronic equipment.
Contact surface Gloss-free matte finish and unique carbon fiber structure. The product looks premium and better conceals layer lines.
Ease of typing Reduces warping and stringing problems compared to conventional PETG. Stable printing performance, high print success rate.
stability High Temperature Resistant (HDT) ) and has high fiber precision. The parts maintain their shape even at high temperatures, providing high detail and accuracy.

⚙️ Recommended print settings

parameter Recommended value Caution
Extruder Temperature A hardened steel nozzle should be used. or ) Because carbon fiber causes brass nozzles to wear out quickly.
Bed temperature A heated print bed and a suitable substrate, such as PVP Solid Glue or PEI, should be used.
Drying for >8 hours We recommend printing in sealed boxes or using eBOXes to control humidity.

🎯 Applications

eSUN ePETG-CF is designed for use in situations requiring exceptional durability:

  • Automotive Parts: Interior car parts that require strength and resistance to heat/chemicals.

  • Electronic Devices: Cases or mounts that require strength and protection against interference.

  • Tools and Fixtures: Equipment that provides precision and durability in the production line.

  • Models and accessories for 3D printers: such as fans or drive components that need to withstand vibration.
