Introducing eSUN PLA-Coffee, the latest filament made from recycled coffee grounds blended with biodegradable PLA. It offers a subtle matte finish, a light coffee aroma during printing, and prints as easily as regular PLA. Complete with specifications and comprehensive printing settings tips.
In the world of 3D printing filaments with countless options, sometimes the most interesting materials don't come from the latest chemical formulas, but from "waste products" close at hand that we often overlook. eSUN introduces PLA-Coffee, its latest filament that utilizes spent coffee grounds from daily brewing. These grounds undergo a drying, grinding, and property-enhancing process before being blended with biodegradable PLA, resulting in a 3D printing material that is both sustainable and unique.
The highlights of PLA-Coffee aren't just about environmental benefits, but also offer a different printing experience in many dimensions.
PLA-Coffee offers soft earth tones inspired by soil, wood, and natural plants. It's suitable for wabi-sabi or minimalist decor, whether it's plant pots, desktop ornaments, or custom coffee drip equipment, it blends seamlessly with wood and warm-toned spaces.

Before Printing: Check the vacuum packaging before use, as plant fibers in the material easily absorb moisture. If the filament spool is damp or has been stored for a long time, bake it at 50°C for 8–12 hours before use.
During Printing: It is recommended to use a textured PEI sheet and apply a thin layer of adhesive film for good adhesion. Adjust settings according to the specific printer model. The coffee aroma released during printing is normal; its intensity may vary depending on the environment.
After Printing: Allow the build plate to cool completely before removing the printed object to protect both the object and the build plate surface.
Note: Natural coffee grounds may cause slight color variations between production batches. This is normal and does not affect performance — it's a unique charm of natural materials.
PLA-Coffee is suitable for creative decorations, art projects, household items, and home storage solutions. Its non-reflective matte surface allows the filament and layer lines to blend seamlessly with the object, encouraging viewers to focus on the model's form and proportions rather than the surface.
eSUN PLA-Coffee is now officially available, offering another option for makers looking for 3D printing materials that are both beautiful and sustainable.
