Description
ePA12+CF eSun Filament
(Carbon Fiber Nylon 12 filament)
Experience engineered-grade printing with the new eSUN PA12+CF formula, developed for maximum performance.
eSUN PA12+CF is a high-quality nylon (PA12) filament developed in-house by eSUN. It incorporates 15% carbon fiber to significantly enhance strength, rigidity, and toughness. Designed for manufacturing highly durable components, it can potentially replace metal parts in various industries.
Key distinguishing features of the PA12+CF (compared to the standard model):
-
Superior printing performance: Improved printing speed and the ability to print immediately after opening the vacuum-sealed package (but heating is recommended for best results).
-
Enhanced Toughness: The part has increased inherent flexibility and is less brittle than typical carbon fiber materials.
-
Very low moisture absorption: This ensures high dimensional stability of the workpiece, preventing swelling or deformation when exposed to moisture or temperature changes.
Technical specifications:
-
High heat resistance: Supports continuous operation at 120°C and short-term heat resistance up to 160°C.
-
Self-lubrication: Offers excellent wear resistance, making it suitable for gears or parts subject to friction.
-
Premium finish: Provides a beautiful matte black surface with minimal scratches and low warping.
-
Antistatic properties: Safe for electronic components.
Applications:
-
Machinery and chemical industries
-
Robotics and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)
-
Automotive parts and textiles.
-
Electronic and electrical equipment
Technical Specifications
-
Print head temperature: 250 - 290°C
-
Print bed temperature: 60 - 100°C
-
Printing speed: < 200 mm/s
-
Cooling fan for workpiece: 0% (fan off)
-
Additional advice: Hardened steel or ruby nozzles should be used because carbon fiber is highly corrosive.
Instructions for best results.
-
Pre-curing the filament: Although designed for easy printing, it is recommended to pre-cure at 70°C for 12 hours before printing for perfect results.
-
Printer: We recommend using an enclosed chamber printer to maintain a constant temperature.
