Black ABS Glass Fiber

Description

ABS Glass Fiber eSUN

eSUN ABS-GF is a 3D innovation that combines the best properties of ABS plastic with high-quality glass fiber reinforcement, resulting in a material with exceptional strength and durability. Designed for high-precision components, it offers resistance to impact and chemical corrosion, making it ideal for engineering, automotive, and heavy-duty tool parts.

✨ Key features you need to know

  • Increased strength and toughness: Glass fiber reinforcement significantly increases the rigidity and toughness of ABS.

  • Excellent impact resistance: Ideal for tooling and fixtures that need to be used in challenging environments.

  • Chemical corrosion resistant: Maintains its properties even when exposed to chemicals.

  • Matte Surface: Provides a beautiful and professional-looking finish, reducing the visibility of print marks.

  • Suitable for engineering grade applications: Used in aerospace, automotive, and general industrial applications.

🔧 Basic technical information

details Recommended value
Nozzle temperature (some sources: )
Bed temperature (some sources: )
Printing speed (The speed should be reduced for best results.)
Line tolerance
Heat Distortion (Temp. @ )
Recommended injectors Stainless steel, hardened steel, or ruby nozzles are used because they contain glass fibers.
Caution It is recommended to print in an enclosed printer to control the temperature and reduce shrinkage/warping.

Printing instructions

Adding and improving glass fiber reinforcement to ABS increases its rigidity and toughness, making it stronger. This material exhibits excellent impact and chemical corrosion resistance and performs well in high-strength applications such as certain types of tooling and fixtures.

eABS-GF material has relatively high shrinkage, so insulation and heat treatment are crucial during printing, and it should be printed using a closed-box printer.

The eABS-GF's cooling is relatively poor. During printing, consider using a small cooling fan to improve printing results, reducing the overhang angle of the model, or lowering the printing speed.
