Description

The Anycubic Magnetic Platform for FDM 3D printers (e.g., Kobra, Vyper series) is a genuine replacement part that enhances printing performance and ease of removing printed objects.

Key features:

  • Made from spring steel, which provides strength, durability, and resistance to bending.

  • Thickness and weight depend on the model (see specifications table).

  • The PEI surface (or other surface depending on the model) provides good adhesion to the printed object during printing and can also be gently bent to easily detach the object when peeling it off.

  • Some models have a rubber magnet layer that helps the adhesive stick firmly to the base of the device, but the other side is flexible enough to be bent (in some specifications).

  • Compatible with multiple Anycubic models — such as Kobra S1, Kobra 2 Max, Vyper, etc.

  • There are replacement and installation guides on the Anycubic Wiki. It's recommended to check them out for correct installation.

  • Spare parts warranty: 3 months.

Advantages/Benefits of using:

  • Excellent workpiece adhesion: The PEI surface and spring steel ensure a strong first layer adhesion, reducing the chance of workpiece detachment or warping.

  • Easy part removal: Once printing is complete and the plate has cooled, the spring steel plate can be bent to cause the printed part to “pop” out — reducing the risk of breakage during peeling.

  • No clips/tape needed: Magnetic plates allow it to attach to the print bed without clips. Easy to position.

  • Extend the lifespan of the printed circuit board: Instead of frequently using a plain aluminum foil and tape, using a spring steel plate and magnets allows for longer use.

  • Easy maintenance: The PEI surface is easy to clean (alcohol recommended).

Caution / Installation Location:

  • When installing a new plate, the print bed leveling should be checked again, as the thickness of the magnetic plate may affect the homing point.

  • The magnetic plate must be firmly attached to the print bed — if it's not securely in place, it may slide or the magnetic strip may detach.
