Description
eSUN eASA-LW (Lightweight ASA) Foaming Filament: Featherlight & Weather-Resistant for RC Aircraft and Drones
Product Overview: Revolutionize 3D printing for RC enthusiasts and outdoor applications with eSUN eASA-LW (Lightweight ASA). This innovative filament combines the durability of ASA with Active Foaming technology, resulting in exceptionally lightweight prints (low density) while maintaining excellent UV and weather resistance. It's perfectly suited for RC aircraft wings, drones, or any components requiring reduced weight for outdoor use.
Why eSUN eASA-LW?
-
Ultra Lightweight: With Active Foaming technology, which causes the material to foam when heated, print density can be reduced to as low as 0.54 g/cm³. This significantly reduces the load on aircraft wings and extends flight time.
-
Weather Resistance: Superior resistance to UV radiation, rain, and high temperatures compared to PLA. It won't become brittle or discolor easily after prolonged sun exposure.
-
Smooth Matte Finish: The expansion of the plastic helps to seamlessly cover layer lines, providing a beautiful matte finish that is easy to paint.
-
Good Heat Resistance: Has a higher Heat Distortion Temperature (HDT) than typical PLA-LW, preventing warping when used in intense sunlight.

Printing Tips (Very Important):
eASA-LW filament expands (foams) with increasing hotend temperature. The hotter the temperature, the more it expands. Therefore, the Flow Rate (Extrusion Multiplier) must be adjusted according to the temperature.
