ABS Glass Fiber eSUN Filament

Description

ABS Glass Fiber eSUN

eSUN ABS-GF is an innovative 3D printing material that combines the excellent properties of ABS plastic with high-quality glass fiber reinforcement. This results in a material with exceptional strength and durability, designed for parts requiring high precision, impact resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. It is suitable for engineering applications, the automotive industry, and various heavy-duty tool components.

✨ Key Features to Know

  • Increased Strength and Toughness: Glass fiber reinforcement significantly enhances the rigidity and toughness of ABS.

  • Excellent Impact Resistance: Ideal for tool components and fixtures that need to operate in challenging environments.

  • Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Maintains properties well even when exposed to chemicals.

  • Matte Surface: Provides an aesthetically pleasing and professional-looking finish, reducing the visibility of print lines.

  • Suitable for Engineering Grade Applications: Used in aerospace, automotive, and general industrial applications.

🔧 Basic Technical Information

Detail Recommended Value
Nozzle Temp. 240 - 270°C
Bed Temp. 100 - 110°C
Printing Speed 40 - 300 mm/s (reduce speed for best results)
Tolerance ±0.05 mm
Heat Distortion Temp. @ 0.45 MPa ≈ 96 - 98°C
Recommended Nozzle Stainless Steel, Hardened Steel, or Ruby Nozzle (due to glass fiber)
Caution Printing in an Enclosed Printer is recommended to control temperature and reduce shrinkage/warping.

Printing Recommendations

The addition and improvement of glass fiber reinforced material in ABS enhance the rigidity and toughness of ABS, making it stronger. This material offers excellent impact resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, performing well in applications requiring high strength, such as certain tooling and fixtures.

eABS-GF has relatively high shrinkage, so printing should focus on maintaining temperature (insulation) and should be done in a Closed Box Printer.

The cooling performance of eABS-GF is not very good. During printing, you can consider turning on the cooling fan slightly to improve print results, or reduce the overhang angle of the model, or try reducing the printing speed.
