PETG Carbon Fiber (PETG-CF) eSUN Filament

Description

eSUN ePETG-CF Filament:

Upgrade 3D Printed Parts to Engineering Grade (Carbon Fiber Reinforced PETG)

eSUN ePETG-CF is the perfect combination of PETG's ease of printing and carbon fiber's high strength. This material is designed to solve the problems of general PETG by increasing rigidity, reducing warping, and providing a premium, aesthetically pleasing surface finish. It is ideal for parts that require impact resistance or operation in harsh environments.

Key Features:

  • High Strength and Durability: With carbon fiber reinforcement, the Flexural Modulus is as high as 2500 MPa (an increase of over 200% compared to regular PETG), ensuring excellent shape retention under stress.

  • Premium Matte Finish: The printed material has a matte finish, effectively concealing layer lines without the glossy appearance of regular PETG.

  • Chemical and Weather Resistance: Retains PETG's excellent resistance to water, chemicals, and corrosion, along with aging resistance for extended part lifespan.

  • Easy and Stable Printing: Designed with low warping and reduced nozzle stickiness, supporting a wide range of printing speeds.

  • Diverse Color Options: Unlike typical carbon fiber, which is only black, eSUN offers engineering-style matte colors such as Dark Grey, Black Red, Dark Green, and Dark Blue.

Technical Specifications

  • Extruder Temp: 240 – 260°C

  • Bed Temp: 75 – 90°C

  • Printing Speed: 40 – 300 mm/s

  • Density: 1.26 g/cm³

  • Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT): 70°C

  • Diameter: 1.75mm (Tolerance ±0.03mm)

Applications

  • Jigs & Fixtures

  • Drone or RC device structures

  • Electronic and automotive components

  • High-precision engineering prototypes

Printing Recommendations

  1. Nozzle: Due to the hard carbon fiber content, it is necessary to use a hardened steel nozzle of 0.4mm or 0.6mm to prevent wear.

  2. Drying: For best results, it is recommended to dry the filament at 65°C for at least 8 hours before printing.

  3. Adhesion: It is recommended to use PVP glue or a PEI sheet for better print bed adhesion.
